February 2004 Critical Loads data
- The February 2004 UK critical loads data are now available.
The national data sets are available free of charge, under a
standard CEH data licence agreement, in Ascii or Arc/Info GIS
grid export (.e00) formats. A charge may be made for data
required in different formats or for specific regions of the
country.
If you are interested in obtaining the data please email:

For further information on the 2004 critical loads data
please refer to the 2004 Update on the Status of UK Critical
Loads.
Ongoing: Key activities of the UK NFC at CEH Monks Wood:

Running the UK NFC for critical loads modelling and mapping activities.
-
Co-ordinating UK critical loads activities.
-
Providing advice, data and maps to DEFRA and the devolved administrations.
-
Actively participating in workshops and meetings under the UNECE Convention on Long-Range Transboundary Air
Pollution.
-
Collaborating with other UK experts in the further development of steady-state critical loads.
-
Maintaining and updating national critical loads databases.
-
Assessing the impacts of current and future deposition scenarios in terms of critical loads exceedance and the
areas of ecosystems exceeded.
-
Undertaking a formal assessment of uncertainties in critical loads and exceedance calculations.
-
Maintaining and updating the UK NFC web site.
